Transformers: More Than Meets The Eyes (MTMTE)

(Action, Sci-fi, Romance, Adventure)

When people think about transformers, they often think about big giant robots who hit each other and doesn't really do much else (since pretty much every continuity of transformers are in the middle of a war)

But what if they were more than that? What would happen if a story were to take place after that said big war? And what if they were written to be actual characters and not just "haha beeg robot punch the other beeg robot!!!"

Well that's pretty much what MTMTE is all about, the story takes place after the war. Rodimus, a cybertronian, is searching the legendary Knights of Cybertron, an old myth that he believes could be true and could restore the fallen cybertron, devastated by millions of years of war, to it's former self.

The story follow Rodimus and his dysfunctional crew aboard of a giant ship named the Lost Light, who travels the cosmos trying to find the location of the Knights.

The thing I really like about MTMTE is how they flesh out the transformers, they really feel like people and not just "cool giant robot", There's a huge focus on the cybertronians; their relationships, their goals, their hopes, their fears, their love etc... MTMTE feels like a story who really put the spotlight on the characters.

While MTMTE is a transformers media I really like, it's definitely not perfect and there are some things here and there that I don't like at all, for exemple how a certain main villain "redemption" was handled...cough cough....But I won't get into it right now, i'm trying to keep this short!

I also think MTMTE (while some plotpoints can be confusing) can be a good initiation to the world of transformers for those who doesn't know much about the franchise.

Spaceboy (Webcomic on Webtoon)

(Sci-fi, Action, Adventure)

"A girl who belongs in a different time. A boy possessed by an emptiness as deep as space. A story about an alien artifact, a mysterious murder, and a love that crosses light years."

Spaceboy is my #1 favorite webcomic, I fell in love with the artstyle, the storytelling and the characters.

AXED (Webcomic on Webtoon)

(Fantasy, Comedy, some suggestive themes)

"Meet Axelia. Since she was a little girl, all she’s ever wanted to do was become a Monster Hunter. Tough and tenacious, she worked hard to achieve her dream. And then on the day she graduated from Monster Hunter school, with her whole professional life ahead of her…the world declared eternal peace between monsters and humans. Well then.

Now, with a useless degree, and no other viable job skills, Axelia must take on any job that will have her. Alongside a wisecracking, underachieving demon and pretty wood nymph whose roots don’t quite reach the soil, Axelia is determined to find the adventure she craves – even if it’s at a soul-crushing minimum wage job. Girl’s gotta eat, right?"

AXED is the kind of webcomic that makes me giggle and smile like an idiot in the middle of class
